Biography
Italian historian and politician, whose history work focused on the Catholic movement in Italy and on Christian Democracy. He was the author of essays on Alcide De Gasperi and Luigi Sturzo, with whom he formed friendships in 1954. He also published numerous essays on religious and social history, as well as manuals for schools.
He died on 8 December 2009 in Rome, aged 92.
