Biography
French musician and centenarian, titled "la doyenne des Français," who was recognised as the oldest person in France from 24 October 2010 until his death on 11 January 2011, aged 109, in Maisons-Laffitte. He was a leading trumpet player in the Opéra comique (comic opera) of Paris. He was appointed Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) in July 2010.
