Biography
American lawyer noted as the first Asian American to serve as a United States federal judge and the first person of Korean ancestry to be admitted to the bar in the United States. He served as a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. From 1957 to 1958, Choy served as Attorney General for the Territory of Hawaii. Choy died in Honolulu on 10 March 2004 at age 88 due to complications from pneumonia.
