Biography
Dutch military officer of health, neurologist and forensic psychiatrist
Casparie was raised in Groningen, followed here the Gymnasium and University (medicine) but graduated in Gent (1901). He became a medical officer (1901-1923) and specialized under prof. Winkler in neurology and psychiatry (-1905). In this function he worked in prisons and as a forensic psychiatrist at the Courts of 's-Hertogenbosch and other places.
He was chairman of several medical associations, but also of the carillon player association (1926)
