Biography
Italian chemist known for his research in the field of inorganic chemistry, particularly the electrolysis processes of zinc and cadmium extraction. Cambi was also interested in history and prehistory, particularly the composition of metals and alloys in artifacts used in antiquity. He concluded that metallurgy could be used to gain more reliable information in archaeological finds. He wrote many texts on this field, among which is Le grandi conquiste della chimica industriale (The Great Conquests of Industrial Chemistry).
He died in Guastalla, province of Reggio Emilia, on 14 August 1968, aged 83.
