French athlete, diving monitor and professional deep sea diver, who lives in Corsica on board his boat. He became an amputee, when a tibia was removed following an accident. He has led numerous expeditions which took him to Mount Kilimanjaro, the North Pole, Greenland, Argentina and more.
In 2003, he established the association “Bout de Vie” which helps amputees to overcome their differences.
In December 2005, he rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in a the Atlantic Rowing Race accompanied by his long-time friend and team mate Dominique Benassi (13 times world champion in the handisport triathlon).
In 2010, he went down the Yukon River, solo kayaking for 2500 km. In 2012, he combined cycling and kayaking, to travel between the most Northerly lighthouse of Continental Europe to the most Southerly in France. This was the “Arcticorsica” project.
In October 2012, he published his second book, "Ayeltgnu, le défi d’une vie debout" (Ayeltgnu, the challenge of an upright life).
