Biography
French politician and worker for international peace who served as the Prime Minister of of the Third Republic eleven times from 1909.
He was largely responsible for the peaceful separation of church and state in France in 1905. Briand shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Gustav Stresemann, the Foreign Minister of Germany, in 1926.
Died on 7 March 1932, Paris, France.
