Biography
French painter noted for his landscapes, and in particular his animal pieces. His Bulls Fighting (1837) and his Cow attacked by Wolfs (1845) are considered amongst the best of his pictures. He exhibited at the Prix de Rome in 1825.
Brascassat died in Paris on 28 February 1867.
