Biography
French historian of the 'Ancien Régime.' He is also called Paul Guérande.
He was a professor of modern history at the University of Besançon from 1957 to 1969 and at the University of Paris-Nanterre. He is one of the pioneers in the history of mentalities. He is the father of Frédéric Bluche, legal historian who teaches at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
He died 28 June 2018.
