Biography
Spanish cubist painter. Blanchard was the daughter of journalist Enrique Gutierrez Cueto and Concepción Blanchard Santisteban. Her mother suffered a fall while getting out of a cab while pregnant. As a result of this accident Mary was born with various disabilities, she was small in stature, hunchbacked and unable to walk.
