Biography
German stage and film actor and director who appeared in more than 180 movies between 1910 and 1956. He was one of the most outstanding and changeable character actors of the German theatre, who celebrated his successes at the Berlin stages of Max Reinhardt as well as in early films. He died on 13 March 1957 in Berlin, aged 71.
