Henry Bernard, born in Albertville February 21, 1912 and died on 10 December 1994, is an architect and urban planner French.
Family
Son of Henri Bernard was born September 25, 1880 in Albertville (Savoie) and Jeanne Marie Louise called "Lily" Vallat born August 22, 1882 in Saint-Étienne (Loire), married May 22, 1911 at Sury-le-Comtal (Loire). Henry Bernard has two brothers, Peter, born in 1913, and John, born in 1933 of a second marriage.
Graduate architect by Government (DPLG) in 1938 and First Prize of Rome, is an architect Henry Bernard civilian buildings and palaces nationaux1, chief planner of the city of Grenoble and the Parisian planning workshop (APUR) 2 and foreman at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He was elected member of the Academy of Fine Arts in 1968 to the chair of the painter and decorator Jean Dupas, transferred to the architecture section. He became president from 1988 until his death in 1994.
