Biography
Peruvian architect and politician. Mayor of Lima from 1946 to 1947. He was a close friend of Victor Raul Haya de la Torre , APRA leader, who took her to his house during the persecution of the 1930s it is even said that, shortly before the assassination of President Luis Sanchez Hill, served as liaison between Haya de la Torre (prisoner then) and General Oscar R. Benavides, in an apparent understanding between the two leaders. The truth is that, after the death of Sanchez Cerro, General Benavides happened to become president and Hague was released; However, shortly after the persecution of APRA it would begin anew. As an architect, he was ahead of his time, defined his style as "Andean" or "mountain" which approaches the neocolonial; architectural did extraordinarily free and imaginative synthesis. Revett married to Luisa Montero ( 1/8/1892, 1:00, Lima, Peru ), had three daughters: Louise ( 12.28.1918, Lima ), Juana Benavides Revett and Augusta.
He died in Lima in 1975.
