Biography
German painter, draughtsman and graphic artist, who devoted himself to a wide range of different techniques such as watercolour painting, pencil, pen and sepia drawings, but above all drypoint etching and copperplate engraving. In addition to his artistic work, he repeatedly wrote articles for regional newspapers and illustrated books such as an edition of Hans Christian Andersen's selected fairy tales. Wilhelm Baum died on 20 March 1977 in East Berlin.
