American baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Athletics (1933), Boston Braves (1934), Chicago Cubs (1943) and Philadelphia Phillies (1943–1945). He died on 30 October 1966, aged 60, in Seattle, Washington.
