Biography
American actress called "The Vamp" who was the embodiment of the silent screen image of sexuality run amok, a product of publicity hype. All of her films were made in just four years, from 1915-1919. Bara's works included "Salome" and "Cleopatra."
She died of abdominal cancer on 7 April 1955 at age 69 in Los Angeles.
