Biography
American pro baseball pitcher, member of the N.Y. Yankees from 1/03/1997. Banks started straight into the Appalachian League from high school, playing with them until he was picked up by the Minnesota Twins, 6/02/1987. His career had him playing with the Chicago Cubs from 11/24/1993 and the L.A. Dodgers from 6/19/1995 until he was claimed on waivers by the Florida Marlins, 8/10/1995. Banks was claimed on waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies, 10/04/1995 and signed with the N.Y. Yankees after that. At 6' 1", 195 lbs, Banks throws right and bats right and occasionally goes in as pinch-runner.
