Polish resistance fighter who participated in all three uprisings in Upper Silesia.
Adamczyk had been trained as a locksmith and worked until the outbreak of World War II in a coking plant in Radlin in Wodzisław Śląski. On 8 September 1939, during the conquest of Poland by the Wehrmacht, he received a summons from the police, was arrested and imprisoned in a cellar office in Radlin. From there he was transported to Buchenwald concentration camp and then to the Mauthausen concentration camp, where he was murdered on 10 January 1940.
Adamczyk was a distant descendant of the last Polish King Stanislaus II August Poniatowski.
