Biography
American officer in the U.S. Army, who served in World War II and in the Vietnam War before his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Aaron graduated from United States Military Academy at West Point in 1943 and served in Europe during World War II. As a colonel, he served as Commander, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) in Vietnam from 4 June 1968 to 8 May 1969. From 5 November 1973 to 28 August 1977 he served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Headquarters, Department of the Army as a Major General.
Lt. General Aaron had seven children. He died on 30 April 1980, aged 58, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
